What is Impotence?

Impotence (Erectile Dysfunction) is a condition where a man is unable to get erection when he is sexually excited; large numbers of products are available in market to treat impotence.

Increase in estrogen levels in men, decreases testosterone level of hormones which causes impotence. It is also observed that men having low level of testosterone can also achieve an erection.

People who take angina drugs or nitrates cannot take sildenafil as it may cause sudden fall in blood pressure, it has been also observed that sildenafil can cause priapism (erection more than 6 hours) it can result in permanent impotence, if priapism persists, patient should seek immediate medical help.
